Winter has arrived!
Have you ever been stranded in a vehicle during a cold winter day? It is frightening and chilly!
Below is a list of items I recommend you keep in your car in an emergency. While some things are essential during the winter, most items are helpful for emergencies in any season. Below is a link to access a digital version, and I have also listed the items in this post.

In an emergency, keep these recommended items in your vehicle.
- Jumper cables
- Portable battery charger (also charges phone & laptop)
- Flares or reflective triangles
- Ice scraper & snow brush ~ small snow shovel
- First aid kit
- Foil Thermal Blankets
- A female/universal urinal
- Bottled water & packaged snacks (nuts, protein bars, etc.)
- Paper towels, tissues, wipes, & plastic bags for trash
- A lighter & a small jar candle for warmth, or Hot Hands
- Keep the gas tank more than half full at all times
- Cat litter (non-scoopable), sand, or ladders for traction
